Maintenance & Repair

With a minimum of 18,000 vibrations per hour, extremely delicate components, and a mechanism built on precision, a watch requires regular maintenance, just like any other mechanical object—even the most reliable ones.

However, most people overlook the necessity of maintenance, usually seeking a watchmaker’s assistance only when their watch starts losing accuracy, stops functioning, or shows significant wear on its external components.

A watch should undergo maintenance every 3 to 5 years, regardless of usage, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The qualified professional responsible for its upkeep is the watchmaking technician, who must follow the recognized servicing, repair, delivery, and reception procedures established by Swiss Watchmaking Companies.
