Watch Maintenance Procedure
Proper watch servicing requires precision, expertise, and attention to detail.
Below is the step-by-step process followed during the maintenance and repair of a timepiece.
1) Upon Receipt
- Detailed recording of the watch’s components and condition
- Owner’s information registration
- Identification of damage or issues
- Explanation of the repair or maintenance process to the owner
- Cost & time estimate for the service
- Issuance of a receipt, clearly listing all recorded details
2) Watch Movement Maintenance & Repair
- Disassembly of the movement and electronic components
- Cleaning of all disassembled parts using specialized cleaning solutions and professional cleaning equipment
- Inspection & testing of each component
- Replacement of worn or damaged parts
- Repair of components that cannot be replaced
- Recalibration of mechanical parts to restore factory settings
- Second cleaning of both existing and newly installed components
- Lubrication of mechanical parts, following manufacturer specifications
- Demagnetization of the movement using specialized equipment
- Timing adjustment and performance monitoring
- Final 24-hour function check after adjustments
3) Watch Case & External Parts Maintenance
- Complete disassembly of the watch case and external components
- Replacement of worn-out parts and consumables
- Restoration of metal parts to their original form (where possible)
- Cleaning of the case and components with specialized solutions
- Reassembly of the case and external parts
- Water resistance testing
4) Final Assembly & Delivery
- Reinstallation of the movement into the case
- Final timekeeping check
- Water resistance recheck
- Attachment of bracelet or strap
- Delivery to the customer with a 1- or 2-year warranty for the repair/service
